Yoga for anxiety in Eastleigh, near SouthamptonAnxiety and Stress. Those worried thoughts; the general feeling of unease; the feeling that your nerves are on edge. Apprehension. Agitation. Tension.

Everyone feels anxiety and stress from time to time – we live in such a busy, over-stimulating, changeable world. Do you feel it? I know I am prone to it.

It’s our nervous system’s response to the excess of external stimuli in our environment and the worried thoughts which flit across our internal landscape.

But when stress & anxiety become part of everyday life we wind up in a chronic state of stress:

  • the body always feels tense;
  • breath is constricted;
  • sleep is interrupted;
  • digestion may not function optimally;
  • immune system is suppressed;
  • the mind gets busier and busier;
  • feelings can become overwhelming.

Take back control

Please know that you don’t have to live at the mercy of these feelings and sensations!

You can learn ways to manage your anxiety / stress – and yoga offers us tools and perspectives to help us.

In this Yoga for Anxiety & Stress 4-week course I will share with you practical techniques to help you to ease and manage anxiety.

Ways to release tension, find inner strength, develop emotional resilience and to quieten the mind so you can empower yourself to deal with the challenges, fears and doubts which come with everyday life.

Each 90-minute session will be a mix of accessible yoga, breath-work, relaxation and meditation practices, a little theory about anxiety and the opportunity for discussion and support from fellow members of the group.
