Meditation course content

The early part of the course is a blend of theory and practice  – so you can understand how stress and anxiety and pressure play out in your brain and your body and how meditation actually changes your brain – as well as shorter meditation techniques.

As the course progresses we’ll move onto longer periods of guided meditation to deepen your experience.

Unlike many meditation courses, the approach I share with you recognises that you’re fighting a losing battle to enjoy meditation and connect to inner peace if you attempt to go from everyday life straight into sitting still.

So from session one I’m going to share with you a Dru Yoga sequence specially designed to balance your energies before meditation – I don’t share this in my yoga classes, this is a subtle and potent way to prepare for the deep transformation meditation can bring us.

So, on this course you’ll learn mindful movements to prepare the body for meditation; deep relaxation techniques; as well as different meditation and mindfulness techniques to let go of what no longer serves you and reconnect to the peace, strength, resilience and joy within you.

You’ll receive recordings of the main techniques so you can listen at home, and a full guide to all of the theory and practices covered.

About your teacher

Yoga in Southampton and Meditation in Eastleigh with Yoga Teacher Stella

I’m Stella Tomlinson, an experienced Dru Yoga Teacher (teaching since 2011) and I’ve also completed the Dru Meditation Teacher Training (2014-16).

I use my first-hand experience of how yoga and meditation can relieve stress and anxiety to enable those of us who often feel anxious and overwhelmed how to release emotional tension and harness the power of the breath and the mind to connect to inner strength, stillness and joy and find peace amidst the demands of everyday life.

Before the course starts: You have 7 days from your booking to change your mind and receive a full discount. After that time refunds will not be available unless you or I can can find someone to take your place. Payment is not transferable to other classes or workshops.

Once you have begun the course: Refunds or partial refunds will not be given should you change your mind or should your circumstances change during the duration of the course and you can no longer attend.
