This is your chance to get some quiet, me-time. A break from this busy, over-stimulating, noisy, time-poor world.

Every day you’re constantly bombarded with pressure, demands, deadlines, meeting other people’s needs. Your mind ends up in a frantic whirl and your body feels tense. Sometimes you feel SO tired, others wired and you just can’t relax.

Let me help you recharge your batteries; heal and nurture yourself; to give you the time and space just to focus on your needs; to soothe your nervous system; relax your muscles; and drop into deep calmness and stillness.

Benefits of restorative yoga & yoga nidra

In this deeply soothing yoga class we will focus on releasing and relaxing on a deep level and resting in stillness to relieve the stresses and strains of everyday life.

This yoga practice is slow and mindful and still.  It enables deep rest and relaxation.

In Restorative Yoga we use yoga bolsters, blocks and bricks, eye pillows & blankets to support your body to:

  • Release pent up tension and to connect to the healing power of your breath;
  • Let your body rest and your muscles relax;
  • Calm your nervous system;
  • Create the perfect environment to calm your mind.

Yoga Nidra aka Yogic Sleep offers a way to feel deeply rested – even more so than actual sleep!

Yoga Nidra takes you into states of deep relaxation allowing you to release and integrate emotions; and to a state where your body deeply releases the effects of stress – enabling deep healing and restoration to happen for body and mind.

The addition of carefully selected essential oils encourages this deep relaxation and feelings of being soothed and nurtured. You will be offered, if you choose, to inhale oils from the palms of your hands and gently rub them onto your body e.g. pulse points and back of the neck.

Time & place & booking

Fridays every 4-6 weeks 6.30-8pm at Pavilion on the Park, Kingfisher Road, Eastleigh, SO50 9LH {Google maps link£15 booked in advance.

You’ll need to bring:

  • A yoga mat (Ii you don’t have one please let me know as I do have a few spare)
  • Blankets (ideally 2 or 3, minimum of 1)

I’ll provide:

  • Yoga bolster,  bricks & blocks to completely support your body;
  • A lavender eye pillow to block out light and relax your eyes;
  • Essential oils.

Cancellation policy
Payment for this class is non-refundable unless you can find someone to take your spot if you can no longer make it. Neither is it transferable to another class.

About your teacher

Meditation in Hampshire: meditate to look within for peaceI’m Stella Tomlinson, an experienced Yoga & Meditation Teacher and the author of Peace Lies Within. I’ve been practising yoga since 2000 and teaching regularly since 2012. I’m also a Certified Restorative Yoga Teacher (having completed a 30-hour immersion teacher training in 2016) with Adelene Cheong, Senior Assistant to Judith Hanson Lasater.

I use my first-hand experience of how movement and meditation can relieve stress and anxiety to enable those of us who often feel anxious and overwhelmed how to release emotional tension and harness the power of the breath and the mind to connect to inner strength, stillness and joy and find peace amidst the demands of everyday life.

I am known for creating a calming, welcoming and supportive atmosphere in my classes, course and workshops, and I share my teachings in a grounded way for modern life.
